IT’S MORE THAN JUST A PUMP
Ironically, SumpTek started in a basement in 2014 with the vision of producing extremely reliable and innovative sump pump equipment. Equipment that uses technology to prevent basement flooding, thus the SumpTek name. Today SumpTek is family owned and operated company rooted in the Midwest. Our values run deep throughout our culture. We serve each other, so we can serve our customers, that starts from the top down. We all roll up our sleeves to get the best possible product protecting your basement.Test lab
We are often asked how our systems perform compared to our competitors. Instead of just saying it’s better, we prove that they are better in test tanks where we monitor endurance, pump flow, battery voltage, pump amperage, and runtime.
Through testing and best practices, we have found that common sense goes a long way in designing our product, including how you pipe things, what impeller you use, and how high you are pumping, all of which matter. Now we know!
Karl invented the original battery backup system in 1947, he kept improving on it until his late 80s. Karl was a true example of constant passion and improvement. Our founder, David Miller, worked under Karl’s wing when he started in the pump industry in the early 2000s. Many of the SumpTek products you see in our company are inspired by Karl’s simple approach: protect and alert.
His footprint was much larger than a battery backup system; he helped thousands of tradesmen get fair benefits, and he made this world a better place. Being able to watch this man in action and learn from him over the years was nothing short of a blessing.
Karl’s spirit lives deep within our walls; it sets the bar for what we want to accomplish and what it takes to get there.
A SMALL COMPANY WITH A BIG HEART
Giving back to our community has always been something we value. We focus on smaller organizations that have a direct impact on our local families and individuals that are affected by cancer, homelessness, abuse or any where we we can have an impact to those in need. It is in giving that we recieve.
