Traditional backup pump systems typically operate only for the life of the battery, providing a limited timeframe to replace the faulty sump pump. The Power Guard operates in both battery mode and indefinitely off your standard wall power, acting as a second sump pump to keep your basement dry until the problem can be corrected.
